Bithumb Ends '0% Fee'... Applies Lowest Domestic Fee of 0.04%

Commission Fee System Reform... Effective from February 5

Bithumb Ends '0% Fee'... Applies Lowest Domestic Fee of 0.04%

Virtual asset exchange Bithumb is ending its free trading fee event, which started in October last year, and is returning with the industry's lowest fees.

Bithumb announced on the 2nd that starting from 00:00 on the 5th of next month, a 0.04% fee will be applied to all virtual assets supported for trading on Bithumb.

The revised Bithumb fee is lower than the company's previous trading fee of 0.25%. It is also 0.01 percentage points lower than Upbit's (0.05%), which has provided the industry's lowest fees until now.

The changed fee will be automatically applied as soon as customers register a fee coupon code. The fee coupon is valid for 30 days from the registration date, and re-registration is possible after the expiration of the validity period.

In addition, from the 5th, Bithumb will expand the 'Maker Reward' benefit, which pays up to 0.01% in virtual assets by membership grade on the transaction amount executed through maker orders, up to a maximum of 0.06%. The previous daily reward accumulation limit, which was capped at 100,000 KRW, will be raised to unlimited, and the reward payment timing, which was weekly, will be adjusted to daily.

Members from the Purple membership grade to the Black grade can receive rewards for maker trades. Since the membership reward can be up to 0.03% more than the 0.04% fee, it is effectively explained as a free fee.

Starting March 1st, Bithumb will provide benefits such as Black card issuance, yacht tours, golf rounds, premium dining & bar, and hotel valet support to Bithumb membership Black grade members.

Moon Seon-il, Head of Bithumb Service, said, "The purpose of this fee system reform is to provide enhanced benefits to customers who actively trade through Bithumb," adding, "Bithumb users will be able to enjoy not only the lowest domestic fees but also bigger special maker reward benefits and differentiated membership services that other companies do not offer."
