Hyungju Ahn, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, proposed the "Youth Startup Support Ordinance" during the 318th extraordinary session, which has passed the standing committee.
The ordinance targets youths aged 19 to 39 residing in Seo-gu and aims to contribute to job creation for young people and revitalization of the local economy.
The main provisions include ▲ youth startup support projects ▲ selection of support recipients ▲ hosting youth startup competitions ▲ providing youth startup space residency ▲ establishing cooperation with related organizations.
Councilman Ahn stated, "We must provide various benefits to nurture young talents who will lead the future," and added, "Based on this ordinance, I hope Seo-gu, Gwangju, will be reborn as an autonomous district centered on youth startups by supporting young people's social advancement and sustainable economic activities."
