◆EnjoyGO= Ferum Club is a place where all golfers recognize the course conditions. It is an 18-hole premium golf course opened in 2014 by Dongkuk Steel Group, differentiated from existing golf clubs. Ferum means iron (Fe) in Latin. The unique circular-shaped clubhouse and stylish golf course are impressive. It is located in Jeomdong-myeon, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi Province. Cynthia Dye McGray (USA), the niece of Pete Dye, one of the world’s top three golf course designers and the first female golf course designer, personally designed the course.

It has perfectly established itself as a tournament course. Every year, the Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Korean Tour Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyung-ju Invitational and the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour Mediheal·Hankook Ilbo Championship are held here. ‘Tank’ Choi Kyung-ju, who has won 8 PGA Tour titles, praised it highly. He said, "It is the best golf course in Korea. The greens are on par with Augusta National Golf Club, where the Masters, a PGA Tour major, is held."

Ferum Club is a place where you can meet the essence of nature. There is no artificial development or damage. Streams, forests, and rocks are preserved as they are. The course is designed so that golfers use all 14 clubs. The East Course features a serene pond, birch forest, and refreshing waterfall. The West Course has an island hole surrounded by water around the green and narrow fairways. Long roughs and deep bunkers create an intimidating atmosphere. There is a strategic ‘jar bunker’ that requires careful attack. Putting is not easy either, as optical illusion traps are placed throughout the holes.

The course condition is simply a work of art. It has been named one of the best courses selected by KPGA and others. Ferum Club adheres to strict principles. It accepts a maximum of 72 teams of guests. It invests a lot of time and money in course management, fairways, and turf. It is an emerging prestigious golf course focusing on qualitative premium service.

◆EatGO= Ferum Club’s clubhouse is impressive. It is a huge circular shape located at the course entrance. It looks like a spaceship has landed. It also resembles the Sydney Opera House in Australia. It was designed by Tadao Ando (Japan), one of the world’s top four architects. One advantage is that you can see the entire golf course like a panorama.

The Nakji Haemul Jjamppong at Ferrum Club is a popular menu item.

The food you can enjoy at the clubhouse is also diverse. The most popular menu is Nakji Seafood Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup with octopus). It is based on chicken broth. Various seafood are added to enhance the refreshing taste. It pairs well with fresh vegetables. It is perfect for restoring tired energy. The spicy broth is also ideal for hangover relief. There are also dishes like Abalone King Galbitang (beef short rib soup), Japanese-style beef sirloin curry rice, beef cube steak rice bowl, and beef soup. Cooking time is about 10 minutes.

There are set meals for 3 to 4 people as well. These include Stone Octopus and Brisket Mushroom Hot Pot, Spicy Codfish Stew, Aged Kimchi Pork Belly Kimchi Hot Pot, Beef Glutinous Rice Sweet and Sour Pork, Assorted Fried Chicken Wings, Beef Brisket Roll & Fresh Kimchi, etc. At the start house, you can also enjoy fish cake soup, Cajun chicken & French fries, and brisket broth tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes). The food menu changes seasonally.

◆SeeGO= There are plenty of attractions around Ferum Club. You can experience nature, history, and culture all together. Sinreuksa Temple is famous. It is said to have been founded by Monk Wonhyo during the reign of King Jinpyeong of Silla. It became famous when Monk Naong passed away there in the 2nd year of King U of Goryeo (1376).

Unlike most temples located in the mountains, Sinreuksa is situated on flat land. It is by the Namhan River, offering excellent scenery. It is also good for walking courses. It is rich in national treasures such as Josadang (No. 180), Multi-storied Stone Pagoda (No. 225), Bojejonja Stone Bell (No. 228) and Stone Bell Monument (No. 229), Daejanggak Monument (No. 230), Stone Lantern (No. 231), and Wooden Amitabha Buddha Triad Statue (No. 1791).

The tomb of King Sejong is also popular. It is a Joseon royal tomb housing King Sejong and Queen Sohyeon. You can feel the old-fashioned sentiment. There is a separate exhibition hall where you can see inventions such as Jagyeokru (water clock), Angbuilgu (sundial), Haesigye (solar clock), and Cheugugi (rain gauge). On the way from King Sejong’s tomb to King Hyojong’s tomb, there is the ‘King’s Forest Path.’ The straight pine trees and well-maintained grass are artistic. It naturally provides healing. Other places worth visiting include the birthplace of Empress Myeongseong, Yongmunsan Mountain, Glass Castle, Yeoju Hyanggyo Confucian School, and Yeoju Museum.
