According to a survey conducted on January 1 by AlbaCheonguk targeting 3,441 adults regarding their 'Seollal holiday plans,' 62.3% responded that they plan to work part-time during the holiday period. This is 8.3 percentage points higher than the same survey conducted before last year’s Seollal holiday. On the other hand, those planning to visit their hometowns during the Seollal holiday accounted for less than half, at 45.6%, which is 6.3 percentage points lower than last year’s survey results.

By gender, men (65.3%) showed a higher intention to seek part-time jobs than women (60.4%), and by age group, people in their 30s (64.6%) were the most active job seekers. Among respondents in their 20s, who make up the largest portion of the total, response rates varied by occupation, with office workers recording a high response rate of 69.7%.

Among those in their 20s, 'store management and sales' was the most preferred at 69.5%, while job seekers in their 30s and 40s or older showed the highest preference for 'packaging and sorting,' with response rates of 55.4% and 51.0%, respectively. The most important condition considered when seeking part-time jobs was pay (77.1%). The desired hourly wage averaged 12,002 won.
