Listening to the Voices of Startup Companies by Youth and Faculty
Oh Young-joo, Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, visited Hanyang University on the 1st to visit the resident company Hujet Co., Ltd. and listen to the voices of startup companies including youth and faculty members.
Minister Oh's visit to Hanyang University was her first on-site university visit since taking office, aimed at hearing on-site opinions by visiting youth startup companies residing within the university to expand support for youth startups, one of the key policy directions announced in her inaugural speech.

First, Minister Oh visited the Startup Support Group located at the Hanyang Comprehensive Technology Institute to inspect the university's startup infrastructure and encourage the officials.
Since 2022, Hanyang University has been designated as the lead institution for the Startup-Centered University project promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, striving to revitalize startups within the university by supporting university-originated and youth startup companies.
Afterwards, Minister Oh visited Hujet, a youth startup company located in the Hanyang Comprehensive Technology Institute.
Hujet is a university technology-based startup company established by Professor Sung Tae-hyun of Hanyang University, who holds the original technology, and his son, CEO Sung Mo-se, with the purpose of commercializing the eco-friendly energy technology "energy harvesting," which converts, stores, and uses energy discarded in daily life into electrical energy.
Then, Minister Oh listened to policy suggestions and difficulties from startup founders at a roundtable meeting attended by representatives of youth and faculty startup companies.
The roundtable included CEO Sung Mo-se of Hujet Co., Ltd., CEO Oh Hyun-ok of Zcrypto, a faculty startup company that won the CES Best Innovation Award for two consecutive years, and other youth startup company representatives who conveyed voices from the field.
At the roundtable, Minister Oh said, “We will expand support for all aspects of youth life and create an environment where young talents can boldly challenge startups through the advancement of youth startup support programs,” adding, “We will make the university a hot place for regional innovation where excellent youth and startups gather, exchange creative ideas, and innovate.”
