Expansion of Prime Contractor Participation in Safety and Health Investments of Subcontractors KOSHA (Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency).

The "Safety Cooperation Support Project" is a program aimed at fundamentally securing safety by supporting the improvement of hazardous processes in small and medium manufacturing workplaces and reducing the gap in safety and health management levels between large and small-medium enterprises (primary and subcontractors).

Starting this year, to strengthen the industrial accident prevention capabilities of external subcontractors, a method has been introduced for the first time where the primary contractor can participate, and the government and the primary contractor jointly support part of the subcontractor's investment in safety and health.

On this day, the MOU will be mutually promoted regarding each institution's agreement items to jointly support the improvement of hazardous processes at applicant workplaces by combining KOSHA's win-win support projects and the win-win cooperation fund contributed by companies to the Foundation, including ▲ active promotion and support of this project ▲ support for safety and health activities such as consulting for supported workplaces ▲ efforts to give preferential treatment during external evaluations of participating primary contractors.

Ahn Jong-joo, President of KOSHA, said, "I hope this MOU will serve as a stepping stone for primary contractors to participate more actively in strengthening the safety and health capabilities of subcontractors," adding, "KOSHA will continue to make active efforts to ensure that subcontractors who need process improvements can receive timely support through win-win safety and health support between primary and subcontractors."
