Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Soon-hee) is establishing the 'Uidong Youth Culture Center,' a play, culture, and rest space for teenagers, and will begin operations from the 7th of this month.
The Uidong Youth Culture Center (31-6, Samyang-ro 173-gil) is located in the building of the former 'Northeast Area Village Learning Center,' which was opened by Seoul City in September 2019. Through remodeling work, the building has been transformed into a space dedicated to youth.
The culture center is divided into Building A, a three-story structure with a total floor area of 257㎡, and Building B, a two-story structure with a total floor area of 99㎡. Building A houses a book cafe, auditorium, small meeting rooms, and an archive room, while Building B includes a youth rest cafe and a multipurpose meeting space. The center is open every day except Monday and offers over 20 programs for youth.
The district will hold an opening ceremony on the 1st floor of the Uidong Youth Culture Center at 10:30 AM on the 7th of this month.
