Recruiting 8 Small Businesses by March 29... Support for Booth Rental and Exhibition Participation Fees Provided
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it will support local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) facing difficulties in market development and promotion by assisting their participation in exhibitions and fairs.
Now in its second year following last year, the "Eunpyeong-gu Exhibition and Fair Participation Support" project aims to encourage local SMEs to participate in exhibitions and fairs by subsidizing the costs incurred during participation.
A total of eight companies will be recruited, and any local SME can apply. However, companies with tax arrears, joint participation with other companies, submission of false documents, or those that have received similar support from other institutions are excluded.
The recruitment period runs for two months from the 1st of this month to March 29. Submitted documents will be reviewed and on-site inspections conducted for the applicant companies, followed by a final selection through the Eunpyeong-gu Subsidy Review Committee.
Selected companies can receive support up to 2 million KRW for domestic exhibition participation and up to 3 million KRW for overseas exhibitions. Costs such as booth rental fees, participation fees, and installation fees incurred by participating in exhibitions held this year can be claimed.
The support scope is limited to exhibitions and fairs held at 17 domestic specialized exhibition and convention facilities such as COEX, BEXCO, and KINTEX, or those certified by the Korea Exhibition Industry Promotion Association. For overseas events, internationally scaled exhibitions, fairs, and expos (EXPO) are recognized.
Companies wishing to apply should refer to the announcement on the Eunpyeong-gu website and submit the application form and other supporting documents in person to the Job and Economy Division of Eunpyeong-gu Office.
Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, "We hope this support will encourage local SMEs to participate more actively in exhibitions and fairs," and added, "We will continue to develop support policies to strengthen the self-sustainability of local SMEs."
