Aiming to improve digital financial literacy and prevent financial crimes
BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seong-bin) conducted the ‘Challenge! Senior Financial Golden Bell’ event for 900 seniors in the Busan area over two days, on the 30th and 31st.
Sponsored by Busan Bank and the Financial Supervisory Service and organized by the Senior Financial Education Council, this event was designed to enhance the digital financial literacy of the senior demographic amid the spread of digital finance and to prevent financial crime victimization.
The Senior Financial Golden Bell covered six areas: ▲Banking ▲Financial Investment ▲Insurance ▲Financial Information ▲Financial Fraud Response ▲Financial Consumer Protection. Participants engaged in two weeks of online preliminary study before joining the Financial Golden Bell via the video conferencing system ZOOM.
Park Du-hee, Chief Consumer Protection Officer (CCO) at Busan Bank, stated, “This program was prepared as part of our educational donation efforts to help the elderly adapt well to the rapidly changing digital financial environment,” adding, “We will continue to take the lead in practicing inclusive finance for vulnerable groups left in financial blind spots.”
