For People with Disabilities, Pregnant Women, and the Elderly
Gyeonggi-do Icheon City is implementing a 'Free Passport Delivery Service' for vulnerable civil petition groups such as basic livelihood security recipients, persons with disabilities, pregnant women, and the elderly.
To apply for this service, the passport holder must be registered as a resident in Icheon City. If you wish to use the service, you must bring documents proving that you belong to a vulnerable civil petition group when applying for the passport. Proof documents include a maternity record book, disability registration card, resident registration certificate, and recipient certificate.
However, the city explained that using this service takes about 2 to 3 days longer to receive the passport compared to picking it up in person. Meanwhile, in addition to free delivery, Icheon City also operates a night passport civil service office every Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM to facilitate passport issuance for working people such as dual-income families.
Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, said, "We will continue to develop and promote various civil service policies to provide convenience to citizens from their perspective."
