[Click eStock] "Robotis, Expected to Lead Autonomous Delivery Robot Market"

On the 31st, SK Securities predicted that Robotis would benefit from the first-mover advantage in the autonomous delivery robot market.

Jemin Park, a researcher at SK Securities, stated, "The core competitiveness of autonomous delivery robots lies in camera image processing software (SW) technology," adding, "SW technology can be categorized into algorithm improvement through learning from failure cases and enhancement of self-localization ability through mapping of various regions."

He continued, "Companies that secure a large amount of data have an advantage," and added, "Hardware optimization plays a role in securing business feasibility for data acquisition."

Researcher Park analyzed, "Market size and population density that can secure business feasibility, as well as complex urban environments favorable for SW learning, are environments where robots can accumulate experience points," and "Robotis is expected to dominate the domestic market due to its first-mover technological advantage and the government's commitment to localization."

He also noted, "Since the Intelligent Robots Act came into effect in November next year, allowing the use of external delivery robots after safety certification," and expressed expectations that "Robotis, as the first company to apply for certification, may have its product ‘Ilgaemi’ obtain pedestrian status as early as next month." Furthermore, he added, "In addition to the food delivery market, Robotis is also addressing last-mile cost issues in the parcel delivery market," and mentioned, "Robotis has already signed an MOU related to logistics delivery with Lotte Global Logistics."
