SmileShark Acquires 'AWS SMB Competency'

- Over 80% of SmileShark Clients Are SMBs and Startups
- SmileShark Selected as the Only AWS Service Partner Pilot Program in Korea

SmileShark Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Jin-hwan) announced that it has obtained Amazon Web Services (AWS) 'AWS SMB Competency' (Small and Medium Business Competency).

The 'AWS SMB Competency' is an official AWS certification program awarded to specialized AWS partners who have led business innovation through cloud construction consulting optimized for small and medium-sized enterprises among AWS partners.

The 'AWS SMB Competency' acquired by SmileShark is an industry-based competency of AWS, recognizing SMB expertise domestically. Over 80% of SmileShark's clients are SMBs and startups, and this acquisition is the result of proven success cases with various SMB customers, including architecture configuration and cost optimization consulting necessary for cloud transition.

SmileShark CEO Jang Jin-hwan stated, "Since small and medium-sized enterprises account for 99.9% of all companies in Korea and form the foundation of the domestic economy, SmileShark, as a small and medium-sized enterprise itself, will continue to provide optimized cloud technology services suitable for its scale."

Meanwhile, SmileShark, an AWS specialized consulting partner, is a 5-year-old startup founded in December 2019. In 2021, it achieved remarkable results in a short period and received the AWS Rising Star of the Year Award. It provides cloud technology services such as ▲Tech Support Center ▲Build-Up service ▲CloudOps service ▲Cost Optimization Report to over 700 customers for their cloud journey.
