KT Jeonnam-Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters and Motov Co., Ltd. signed a business agreement on the 30th to expand the market for "AIoT (AI of Things)-based big data collection and mobility smart signage construction."
Motov is an edge AI-based urban tech company that provides an urban platform service by installing IoT and media mobile devices on taxi roofs, offering location-based digital out-of-home advertising (DOOH) and collecting and analyzing real-time city data to be utilized in smart city operations.
Currently, Motov operates 2,000 DOOH billboard-equipped taxis in Seoul. The mobile devices are equipped with sensors that can measure AI cameras, temperature, fine dust, ultraviolet rays, and more, enabling real-time collection of various urban environmental information beyond advertising functions.
Through this agreement, both companies plan to cooperate in various fields, including ▲ mutual sharing of business opportunities for AIoT mobile devices and joint business promotion ▲ promotion of related businesses using AIoT mobile devices and platforms.
KT will support the verification of KT communication networks for AIoT mobile devices and provide technical support, as well as assist in developing platform and application integration interfaces. In particular, KT plans to supply infrastructure such as ultra-precise location control and cloud services.
