The LINC 3.0 Project Group at Kookmin University (President Jeong Seung-ryeol) announced that it successfully held the 5th "Community Coexistence Forum" on the 26th at Ted Square in the Annex of the Kookmin University Art Building.


The "Community Coexistence Forum" is a regular forum held monthly by the Community Coexistence Center of the Kookmin University LINC 3.0 Project Group. It invites experts from various fields to enable community-level development through the accumulation of basic knowledge and expertise, as well as the strengthening and expansion of human networks.


At the 5th forum held on the 26th, Center Director Ha Hyun-sang presented issues and explored alternatives under the theme "Issues and Alternatives for Sustainable Community Coexistence," focusing on solving local community problems and promoting coexistence. In response, four experts?Dr. Jeon Dae-wook, Research Fellow at the Local Administration Research Institute; Dr. Kim Hoe-sung, Research Fellow at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs; Professor Cho Hyun-jin of the Department of Business Administration at Seoyoung University Paju Campus; and Professor Kim Yeon-hee of the Graduate School of Public Administration at Kookmin University?each presented improvement measures for the issues and engaged in discussions with attendees. The participants had a meaningful time freely exchanging opinions based on diverse perspectives and experiences regarding the importance of university-community integration, the reality of local extinction, the significance of combining culture and arts with local communities, the university’s role in regional economic recovery, and ways to revitalize youth entrepreneurship.


Ha Hyun-sang, Director of the Community Coexistence Center and Dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration at Kookmin University, stated, “This forum was a very meaningful occasion to reflect on and improve the directions of education, research, and projects that universities should pursue for community coexistence. To enhance the happiness and safety of the people and to address national challenges such as local extinction and the super-aged society, it is important for residents and the government to change and revitalize together through a participatory communal lifestyle.”


The upcoming Community Coexistence Forum, scheduled for March 19, will invite speakers from various fields to discuss national challenges originating from communities, promising a meaningful time filled with diverse lectures and discussions.
