Son Buhong, Director of Busan Sasang Jeil Nursing Hospital, Donates Hometown Love Fund to Ulju-gun

Donation of 5 Million Won Annually by an Individual for 2 Consecutive Years

Son Buhong, director of Busan Sasang Jeil Nursing Hospital, donated 5 million won, the highest annual individual donation for hometown love contributions for two consecutive years, to Ulju-gun on the 30th.


Born in 1942 in Dudong-myeon, Ulju-gun, Director Son graduated from Gyeongnam High School and Busan National University College of Medicine, and operated Son Buhong Orthopedics in Goejeong-dong, Saha-gu, Busan for 35 years. Afterwards, he served as director of Busan Sarang Nursing Hospital and is currently the director of Busan Sasang Jeil Nursing Hospital.

While running the hospital, Director Son met many sick people and, seeing those unable to receive treatment due to financial difficulties, pledged to practice sharing to help them.


He has consistently made donations for medical advancement and supported juniors at his alma mater, and in 2017, he joined as the 125th member of the Busan Honor Society, extending warmth to places in need.


Director Son Buhong said, “I was born and raised with difficulty in the countryside, studied hard while living in Busan, and became a doctor. I decided to donate to my hometown Ulju-gun to share the help I have received with many people and contribute to the development of my hometown.”


Lee Soon-geol, the county governor, said, “We thank Director Son Buhong for not forgetting his hometown and making a large donation again this year following last year. The donation will be used valuably for the development of Ulju-gun in accordance with the donor’s wishes.”
