'Gongsin' Kang Seongtae Returns After 2 Years: "A World Where Studying Is Not Necessary Is Coming"

"The Time of Pain Will Come... AI and Robots Will Dominate the Future"

Kang Seong-tae (40), CEO of Gongsin.com and a famous entrance exam expert known as the 'God of Studying,' is drawing attention by claiming that a world where studying is unnecessary will come.

On the 29th of last month, Kang Seong-tae uploaded a video titled "I’m Back After 2 Years" on his YouTube channel 'God of Studying Kang Seong-tae.' In the video, he said, "I’m formally greeting you after almost two years," and explained, "I had stopped my activities. I declined broadcasts and stopped uploading videos on YouTube. Although I used to publish books every year, I didn’t do that either," sharing his situation during that time. He continued, "Honestly, I was thinking about retiring. I didn’t like being in the spotlight. I wanted to disappear quietly as much as possible," but added, "I’m indescribably happy to meet you again."

Kang also revealed a mysterious experience he went through. He confessed, "There were unbelievable things. Truly bizarre events happened," and said, "I even experienced my own death and heard the voice of God." Regarding the reason for resuming his activities, he said, "I gained very precious insights that I wanted to share with you all," and added, "I believe humanity will face a very painful period for about the next ten years."

Later, in videos posted on the 14th and 25th, Kang predicted a future dominated by artificial intelligence (AI) and robots. He said, "You will live in a world where you don’t have to work," and "An era has opened where you can live a wonderful life without forcing yourself to study." He also expressed his conviction, saying, "Furthermore, I believe some of us will transcend death and live lives close to immortality."

Kang also gave a bleak outlook on this future. He warned, "Keep in mind, before such a time comes, you might go through really hard times," and "You might experience hell." He added, "If AI that never eats or rests eventually gains self-awareness, it will become like Skynet in the movie 'Terminator,'" and argued, "The only way for humanity not to fall behind AI is to implant AI into the human brain."

Kang Seong-tae, who graduated from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Seoul National University, created an educational volunteer club called 'Gongsin' while in college and later founded the venture company 'God of Studying' after graduation. He became known to the public through appearances on study-themed broadcasts such as MBC's 'King of Studying,' and continued with lectures on study methods and mentoring, working as an entrepreneur, AfreecaTV BJ, and YouTuber. Currently, his YouTube channel 'God of Studying Kang Seong-tae' has 988,000 subscribers.
