The inspection targets include 48 meat packaging processing businesses and 426 livestock product sales businesses. Officials will conduct inspections based on a detailed plan established internally. The main inspection items are ▲selling imported products disguised as domestic products ▲failure to record or false recording of traceability numbers ▲storage conditions of frozen and refrigerated meat ▲country of origin labeling ▲compliance with business operator regulations ▲and proper personal hygiene management.

The city plans to strictly punish serious violations or intentional illegal acts according to relevant regulations, including business suspension or license cancellation. If there is suspicion of illegality in livestock products displayed for sale, a 'DNA identity test' will also be conducted to secure objective evidence.

An official from Anseong-si stated, "Ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, we will strive to supply livestock products that consumers can purchase with confidence through this special inspection."
