Yoon-Han Conflict Seen Moving Toward Resolution
President Yoon Suk-yeol and Han Dong-hoon, the Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, will have lunch together on the 29th.
Chairman Han told reporters at the People Power Party headquarters that morning, regarding the lunch with President Yoon, "It is not unusual for the president and the ruling party leader to have lunch together."
He added, "I will have a good discussion with President Yoon about people's livelihood issues."
The meeting between President Yoon and Chairman Han comes six days after they met at the fire site in Seocheon Market on the 23rd. In political circles, this meeting, held one month after Chairman Han's appointment, is interpreted as a sign that the party-government conflict is entering its final reconciliation stage.
The two are scheduled to meet at the Yongsan Presidential Office on this day, and it is known that Yoon Jae-ok, the floor leader of the People Power Party, Lee Gwan-seop, the Chief Secretary, and Han Oh-seop, the Senior Secretary for Political Affairs, will attend the meeting.
