Gyeonggawon Participates in Tokyo Smart Factory Expo... $10.97 Million Contract Buyers and domestic companies are having consultations at the Korea Pavilion of the 'Smart Factory Expo' in Tokyo, Japan.

The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency recently achieved significant success by participating in the Smart Factory Expo held in Japan.


The agency announced on the 29th that it successfully operated the Korean Pavilion at the "2024 Smart Factory Expo," held in Tokyo, Japan, from the 24th to the 26th.


The Korean Pavilion operated by the agency featured 11 smart factory supply companies from across the country, including ▲ unmanned transport systems ▲ smart factory artificial intelligence (AI) solutions ▲ AI logistics management platforms ▲ smart sensors.


The 11 Korean companies participating in the expo achieved a total of 299 consultations (worth $32.92 million) and 228 contracts (worth $10.97 million).


A company representative who participated in the exhibition stated, "At this expo, we were able to understand customer needs by consulting with buyers from various countries," adding, "It was very meaningful that we secured contracts and were recognized for the excellence of our smart factory solution technology."


The agency has been participating in the Tokyo Smart Factory Expo in Japan with domestic companies for four consecutive years since 2021.


Kang Seong-cheon, Director of the agency, emphasized, "Smart factory technology is essential for manufacturing innovation and productivity improvement," and added, "This exhibition will play an important role in helping Korean companies expand into the Japanese market and the global market."
