Ulsan City Rolls Up Sleeves to Support Export Small and Medium Enterprises in Market Development

Establishment of Trade Support Policies, 2.2 Billion KRW for 21 Projects

Ulsan City has rolled up its sleeves to help small and medium-sized export companies develop new sales channels.

On the 29th, Ulsan City announced that it has established the '2024 Trade Support Policy' to expand exports of local small and medium-sized enterprises.

This year's trade support policy includes 21 projects across four areas: ▲support for overseas market development ▲export package support by growth stage ▲overseas marketing support ▲strengthening capabilities to respond to changes in the trade environment.

A total of 2.272 billion KRW will be invested in the projects. Key projects by area include ▲dispatching overseas trade delegations and market development teams for small and medium-sized enterprises and supporting participation in famous overseas exhibitions and fairs to support overseas market development.

In addition, ▲an export package will be prepared and supported according to growth stages. Companies will be classified as export beginners, promising exporters, and strong export companies based on export performance, and customized support will be provided. In particular, efforts will be made to support the discovery of 'export beginner companies' so that domestic companies can grow into promising and strong exporters.

Furthermore, ▲to support overseas marketing, international express overseas logistics costs and overseas promotion support for small and medium-sized enterprises will be expanded. ▲Capabilities to respond to changes in the trade environment will also be strengthened. To this end, support for export insurance premium fees, acquisition of overseas standard certifications, operation of multinational family export support teams, and support for university student internships at small and medium-sized enterprises will be promoted.

An official from Ulsan City said, “We will strengthen monitoring of related trends so that our companies can respond to the rapidly changing trade environment, and we will listen carefully to the voices of companies to provide the projects they want in a timely manner.”
