Incheon City announced on the 29th that it will expand its free suit rental program for job-seeking youth (Dream Narae).
Until last year, support was limited to young people registered as residents of Incheon, but this year the beneficiaries have been expanded to include students enrolled in universities in the Incheon area. In addition, the project budget has significantly increased from about 280 million won last year to 400 million won this year.
The Dream Narae program not only offers free suit rentals for interviews but also provides interview coaching services and customized interview image consulting such as personal color, style, and makeup techniques.
Youth job seekers aged 18 to 39 (including high school graduates) who are either registered residents of Incheon or currently enrolled in universities in the Incheon area can use the service by submitting proof of upcoming interviews and job-seeking activity confirmation documents as of the application date.
Interview suits can be rented free of charge up to five times per person per year for a period of 2 nights and 3 days, and applicants can receive designated interview image consulting once a year at the suit rental stores. Applicants can make reservations through the 'Incheon Youth Talk Talk Incheon Youth Portal (young.incheon.go.kr)'.
This year, the designated suit rental stores are Classy Tailor Shop (Bupyeong-gu), Belsarto (Namdong-gu), Shinhwa Majel (Seo-gu), and Kim Juhyun by Gak (Michuhol-gu), totaling four locations. Since its launch in 2018, the Dream Narae program has provided free interview suit rentals over 15,000 times to job-seeking youth.
An official from Incheon City stated, "We hope that young people facing fierce job competition due to rising prices and employment difficulties can prepare for employment without burden," and added, "We will continue to develop various policies that young people can feel in response to the changing job-seeking environment."
