Targeting a 2 Trillion Market... Optimized for Carrying Soil and Gravel
"Aiming for Top 3 in the North American Compact Tractor Market"
LS Mtron announced on the 29th that it has launched the New MT2 (Premium) and MT2E (Economy) series of compact tractors for North American export in North America.
The new products are available in 25, 32, and 42 horsepower. They are suitable for small-scale cultivation and gardening in confined spaces. Equipped with a shuttle and dual pedals, they allow easy forward and reverse switching with simple operation. They are optimized for loader work, which involves frequent forward and reverse repetitions. Loader work refers to tasks such as loading and transporting soil or gravel.
The tractors secure best-in-class loader lifting capacity. An engine RPM-linked button function is applied to enable efficient gear shifting during loader operations. Ergonomic levers and seat arrangements enhance convenience.
The New MT2E series mechanical model features a 12-speed forward and 12-speed reverse transmission, allowing fine speed adjustments. In particular, the 42-horsepower model is equipped with a high-output 4-cylinder engine to improve work performance. Noise and vibration are minimized.
The cabin model has the largest volume in its class. The upper space has been expanded compared to previous models. A distinctive arched front roof frame ensures visibility during loader operations.
The new products are the first LS Mtron North American supply models to be equipped with Land Solution implements, a company specializing in self-developed implements. Land Solution implements minimize rust caused by long-term external exposure. They enhance corrosion resistance through a dipping method primer process, which involves immersing objects in paint. Corrosion resistance refers to the property of being resistant to corrosion. The higher the corrosion resistance, the less corrosion occurs.
LS Mtron explained that the North American compact tractor market for 25 to 45 horsepower is approximately 2 trillion KRW in size, with about 100,000 units. LS Mtron plans to increase sales of compact tractors and self-developed implement packages starting with this new product series launch to strengthen its competitiveness in the North American market.
Lee Sang-min, head of LS Mtron’s Tractor Business Division, said, "By enhancing the ease of use of the new products, they will appeal attractively to small-scale hobby farmers in North America," and added, "We will accelerate the strengthening of local service and marketing resources with the goal of becoming one of the top three companies in the North American compact tractor market in the future."
