Briefing Session Held to Explain Namsan Height Restriction Zone Relaxation Details

Namsan Height District Redevelopment Urban Planning Committee Review Completed

Jung-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Gil-seong) will hold three on-site resident briefings in February to provide information on the relaxation of height restrictions around Namsan.

The Hoehyeon-Myeongdong area briefing will be held on February 1 at 5 PM at Grand Central (14 Sejong-daero), the Pildong-Jangchung area briefing on February 6 at 7 PM at Paradise Building (299 Toegye-ro), and the Dasan-dong area briefing on February 7 at 7 PM at Sindang Nuri Center.

Since the announcement of Seoul City's new height district plan in June last year, Jung-gu held resident briefings during the public inspection period to accurately convey the details of the height relaxation to residents, collecting their opinions and submitting requests from the Jung-gu Office to Seoul City.

At this briefing, the main contents and future plans of the Namsan height restriction relaxation, which was amended and approved by the Seoul City Urban Planning Committee on January 17, will be explained. The briefing will provide detailed information on the extent of height relaxation according to land use in each area and clarify how height relaxation applies in various cases such as remodeling of apartments exceeding height limits, promotion of maintenance projects, and in station areas.
