Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 28th that the Gyeonggi Branch Men's Specialty Hall has completed its renovation after 16 years and has reopened.
The Gyeonggi Branch Men's Specialty Hall significantly improved the shopping environment by widening customer pathways to 2.7 meters and expanding the average area per brand by about 25%. In particular, it introduced a large number of contemporary brands popular among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) or proven popular at Shinsegae Gangnam and Centum City branches, such as 'C.P. Company', 'Aspesi', 'Arc'teryx', 'IRO Men', and 'Astroog'. Additionally, popular curated stores like 'San Francisco Market', 'Silly Gallery by Sculptstore', and 'Still By Hand by Iamshop' have opened.
According to Shinsegae, the 24 brands that first opened during the first phase of renovation in November last year recorded sales that increased by 26.7% compared to the same period last year over two months until January this year. The proportion of customers in their 20s and 30s rose from 8.5% to 15%. Next month, 'Zegna' will open, followed by 'Tumi' in mid-March, and in the second half of the year, 'Stone Island' and 'Ferragamo' will open sequentially. A Shinsegae Department Store official said, "We will continue to present diverse content and new brand experiences that attract customers."
