"Worried About Dating Rumors"...All Triplet Sisters Marry Within the Company 'Hot Topic'

Goseong County Office Three Sisters, Dating at the Same Workplace
Married One Year Apart and All Gave Birth

A movie-like story has become a hot topic as identical triplets ended up working at the same workplace and all married their colleagues.

On the 26th, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, shared the story of 29-year-old triplet sisters Jang Seo-eun, the eldest, Jang Seo-yeon, the second, and Jang Seo-jin, the youngest, who work at the Goseong County Office.

Although the three sisters are originally from Changwon, they spent every school vacation with their maternal grandmother and cousins in Goseong, their maternal hometown, forming a bond with Goseong. Watching their uncle who works at the Gyeongsang Provincial Office inspired them to dream of becoming public officials, and they chose Goseong, which feels like a second hometown, as their workplace.

In October 2015, the second sister Seo-yeon was the first to start working at the Hail-myeon Office in Goseong-gun, followed a year later by the eldest Seo-eun at the Yeong-o-myeon Office and the youngest Seo-jin at the Yeonghyeon-myeon Office.

Then, each sister began dating a colleague at their respective workplaces. Seo-eun and Seo-jin became couples with their appointment batchmates Kim Young-seok and Ha Tae-gyu, respectively, while Seo-yeon also became a workplace couple with Oh Gyu-hyung, a close colleague in the same department.

In 2019, the triplets got married one after another at one-year intervals, starting with Seo-eun. Seo-eun gave birth to a daughter in March 2022, and the following September, Seo-jin gave birth to a son. Seo-yeon is currently pregnant with her first child and is expected to give birth in September this year.

They recalled, “Since we dated at the same workplace, there were times we were anxious about rumors spreading, but now those are all just memories.” They also said that working at the same workplace helps them a lot professionally.

Lee Sang-geun, the mayor of Goseong-gun, said, “It is rare for triplet sisters to work together at the Goseong County Office, and now that they have met their partners within the office and become parents, contributing to population growth, it is something to celebrate.”
