Ikwonjae, Osan Mayor, Hosts 'Baeknyeondonghaeng Communication Festival'

Touring 8 Administrative Districts... Introducing Key City Administration Including Segyo 3 District

Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, will embark on the 'Centennial Companionship Communication Forum' schedule to engage in dialogue with local residents to welcome the new year.

According to Osan City on the 25th, Mayor Lee will tour eight administrative districts from the 30th of this month to the 5th of next month to introduce major policies for this year and listen to the voices of residents.

The schedule is as follows: ▲ January 30 - Daewon 1-dong and Namchon-dong ▲ January 31 - Sinjang 1-dong ▲ February 1 - Chopyeong-dong and Daewon 2-dong ▲ February 2 - Sinjang 2-dong and Jungang-dong ▲ February 5 - Sema-dong.

This event will be conducted in a free discussion format where the mayor directly receives and answers residents' questions. In particular, Mayor Lee will explain the direction and vision of city administration for this year through a direct presentation to the residents during this event.

Through the city administration explanation, Mayor Lee plans to reveal the direction of the Segyo 3 District project, which was designated as a public housing district last November, the extension of the Seoul Metropolitan Area Express Railway (GTX) Line C to Osan, and major metropolitan transportation improvement plans such as the KTX stop at Osan from Suwon.

Additionally, he plans to disclose specific plans regarding the establishment of Osan Urban Corporation, the development of Woonamdeul AI City, utilization of the terminal site and reserve forces training ground in Segyo 1 District, development of the former Gyesung Paper Mill site, and the creation of a future advanced industrial complex.

Mayor Lee said, "I will spend this year without forgetting my original intention and with a focused mind to become a mayor who always walks together with the 240,000 citizens of Osan."
