Gangjin County Council Holds 297th Extraordinary One-Point Session

Deliberation and Resolution on the 2024 Half-Price Gangjin Tourism Year Operation and Support Ordinance

The Gangjin County Council of Jeollanam-do (Chairperson Kim Bomi) held the 297th extraordinary session as a one-point meeting on the 23rd.


According to the county council on the 25th, this extraordinary session was convened at the request of the Gangjin County Governor to promote the 2024 Half-Price Gangjin Tourism Year. The session was operated as a one-point meeting to promptly handle related ordinances for efficient operation and support of the project.

On the day, the county council held the 1st plenary session, conducted a preliminary review by the standing committee (Administrative Welfare Committee), and then deliberated and passed the ordinance on the operation and support of the 2024 Half-Price Gangjin Tourism Year at the resumed 1st plenary session.


With the original ordinance on the "2024 Half-Price Gangjin Tourism Year Operation and Support" passed as proposed, the project can proceed as planned without any institutional gaps.


Chairperson Kim Bomi said, “Although this extraordinary session was urgently convened to address pressing issues, I am grateful for the swift handling of matters with the cooperation of fellow council members and related public officials. As we have promptly processed the agenda today, I hope that the 2024 Half-Price Gangjin Tourism Year will be successfully promoted and breathe new life into the stagnant local economy.”
