Support for Living Scholarships! Come to Ulsan... Promoting the 'University Competitiveness Enhancement Specialized Project'

"Increasing Youth Population and Enhancing University Competitiveness"

Support for University Student Transfers Since January 1 This Year

Initial Transfer: 200,000 KRW, 100,000 KRW for Maintaining 6 Months

Ulsan City is promoting a specialized project to increase the youth population and strengthen the competitiveness of universities.

Ulsan City's "Specialized Project to Strengthen the Competitiveness of Local Universities" is a program that provides living scholarships to university students who have enrolled in universities in the Ulsan area from other regions, helping them to settle stably in the region.

The living scholarship support targets university students enrolled in Ulsan-area universities who have changed their address to Ulsan City after January 1 of this year, selecting the first 1,000 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.

The support amount is up to 900,000 KRW per person, with an initial payment of 200,000 KRW upon first moving in, and an additional 100,000 KRW scholarship paid for each semester up to 8 semesters if the address is maintained in Ulsan City for more than 6 months.

The application method will be announced later by each university once the universities participating in this project are selected.

Ulsan City is calling for auxiliary project operators for this project until February 8.

The target universities for this project call are universities in the Ulsan area, established or regulated under the Local University Promotion Act or the Ulsan Institute of Science and Technology Act.

The total project budget is 307.5 million KRW and will be distributed differentially by school according to the proportion of out-of-area resident university students as of 2023.

Universities wishing to participate in the project can submit applications by visiting the City Hall University Youth Support Team or by email with the application form and project plan.

The selection results will be individually notified to each university on February 16, and for more details, please refer to the announcement section on the Ulsan Metropolitan City website.
