Valentine's Day Concert with Joe Hisaishi's Music

Piano Trio Performance at Lotte Concert Hall on February 14

The Lotte Cultural Foundation announced on the 24th that it will hold a 'Valentine's Concert' on February 14, Valentine's Day, where audiences can enjoy the sweet animation music of Joe Hisaishi performed by a piano trio.

Pianist Elizabeth Bright (real name Yumi Nanatsutani), violinist Kim Deok-woo, and percussionist Kim Mi-yeon will perform animation music from works such as "Nausica? of the Valley of the Wind," "Howl's Moving Castle," "Spirited Away," "My Neighbor Totoro," and "How Do You Live?".

Joe Hisaishi began his association with Studio Ghibli at the age of 33 with "Nausica? of the Valley of the Wind." Since then, he has collaborated with the Japanese animation master Hayao Miyazaki for 30 years, consistently contributing to Ghibli film music and leaving behind countless beautiful animation scores that will be remembered for a long time.

Elizabeth Bright, who is in charge of the performance, is a pianist born in Osaka, Japan, recognized for her playing and arranging skills, and has obtained an official performance license from Studio Ghibli. Her real name is Yumi Nanatsutani. In 2009, she attracted attention by releasing the album "Piano Ghibli," which captured famous animation melodies in piano tunes.

Bright will participate in the Lotte Cultural Foundation's Valentine's Concert for the second consecutive year. Violinist Kim Deok-woo and percussionist Kim Mi-yeon will also join her.

Bright said, "I am truly happy and honored to have the opportunity to perform in Korea again this year," adding, "I really liked the trio pieces I performed last year with Korean violinist Kim Deok-woo and percussionist Kim Mi-yeon, so I increased the proportion of trio performances in this concert."
