Simmons attracts 60,000 applicants for 3 million KRW hourly wage in 'Carrot Alba X Simmons Winter Sleep Alba'

60,000 people flocked to apply for a unique part-time job where you can earn 3 million won just by sleeping in bed.

On the 24th, Simmons announced that the competition rate for the ‘Danggeunalba X Simmons Winter Sleep Part-time Job,’ a project conducted with the local community platform ‘Danggeun,’ where participants sleep soundly on Simmons beds and receive part-time pay, reached 60,000 to 1.

This part-time job is a unique experience of hibernating at the Terrace Store within ‘Simmons Terrace,’ a complex cultural space of Simmons beds located in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. The two companies prepared a special event combining healthy sleep and an unusual part-time job experience during the winter vacation period.

Part-timers first receive a sleep preference diagnosis from a Simmons sleep expert, then equip various items for hibernation, and after sleeping for about an hour, they receive 3 million won as part-time pay.

Simmons and Danggeun recruited applicants from the 3rd to the 23rd and plan to select one candidate on the 26th and contact them individually. The final selected part-timer will perform the assigned tasks at the Terrace Store on February 3rd.

Simmons Beds will also gift a prize worth 2 million won through a lottery among the part-time job applicants.

A representative from Simmons Beds said, “Far more people applied for this unique part-time job with Danggeun than we imagined,” adding, “Thanks to the fun element of actually realizing the joke ‘I want to make money while sleeping,’ word of mouth spread, resulting in success beyond our expectations.”
