Ulsan City Announces Transportation Measures for Lunar New Year Seasonal Goods This Year
During the Lunar New Year holiday period, there is a welcome traffic ‘sticker’. Ulsan City will temporarily ease restrictions on cargo trucks transporting Lunar New Year seasonal goods in urban areas for 16 days from January 30 to February 14.
Ulsan City announced on the 24th that it has established and will actively implement the ‘2024 Lunar New Year Seasonal Goods Transportation Plan’ ahead of the holiday.
This plan was prepared to prevent delivery disruptions as the volume of shipments, including Lunar New Year parcels, is expected to increase sharply. The target items include agricultural and marine products, ceremonial goods, various manufactured products, and parcels.
Cargo trucks transporting Lunar New Year seasonal goods can obtain a ‘temporary passage sticker’ from the Cargo Transport Association and attach it to the upper right corner of the vehicle’s front windshield to travel on urban roads.
Ulsan City plans to build and operate a cooperative system with related organizations such as district and county offices, Ulsan Police Agency, and Ulsan Cargo Transport Association to ensure the smooth implementation of the seasonal goods transportation plan.
Currently, Ulsan City prohibits cargo truck traffic in a total of 23 sections, including Okhyeon Intersection (Munsu-ro) ~ In front of the courthouse ~ Gongyeongtap Rotary ~ Taehwagang Station (Samsan-ro).
