Gijang-gun, Joint Public-Private Efforts for Housing Fire Damage Recovery and Daily Life Restoration in the Area

Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) is making an all-out effort through a public-private joint support to restore the fire site and help residents return to their daily lives in relation to the recent multi-family housing fire in the area.

Gijang-gun, Joint Public-Private Efforts for Housing Fire Damage Recovery and Daily Life Restoration in the Area Jung Jong-bok, the head of Gijang County, is inspecting the fire damage site and consoling the victims.

On the morning of the 23rd, Governor Jeong Jong-bok and Gijang-gun officials held an on-site meeting at the fire site located in Daerari, Gijang-eup, where they inspected the cause of the fire and the damage situation and discussed recovery support measures.


Also, more than 20 volunteers from ▲Gijang-gun Volunteer Center ▲Gijang-gun Women's Association ▲KEPCO KPS Gori 1 Plant participated to support the restoration of the fire site and delivered relief supplies to the affected residents.


A Gijang-gun official said, “We are grateful to the volunteers who came at once despite the cold wave,” and added, “Our county will spare no effort to provide all possible support for the quick recovery of the affected residents' daily lives.”


The county is currently conducting joint inspections of fire-vulnerable facilities such as multi-use facilities, apartments, and multi-family housing together with the fire department, gas and safety experts. In addition, thorough safety inspections are being carried out on fire-vulnerable facilities under the jurisdiction of each department, and activities to prevent winter fires and various safety accidents are being strengthened by distributing public safety rules and action guidelines.
