Replacement of Standing Tables for General Restaurants

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Sang-cheol) announced that it will accept applications for the 2024 Standing Table Replacement Support Project for general restaurants from January 22 to February 2, aiming to improve the hygiene level of restaurants by upgrading outdated facilities in food hygiene establishments.

This project replaces traditional floor tables with standing tables, with a total budget of 60 million KRW, supporting 216 table sets. Up to 400,000 KRW per set (70% county subsidy of 280,000 KRW and 30% self-payment of 120,000 KRW) will be provided.

The selection criteria for applicants are businesses that have registered as general restaurants in Gokseong-gun for more than six months, business owners who have been residents of Gokseong-gun for over six months as of the application date, owners wishing to replace existing floor tables with standing tables, and those who have replaced fewer than 20 sets in previous projects.

Exclusions include those with overdue national or local taxes and those who have received administrative sanctions such as business suspension within the past two years.

Business owners wishing to apply should prepare the application form, business plan, and other required documents and visit the Gokseong Food Service Association or the Hygiene Team of the Health Business Division to submit their applications.

A Gokseong-gun official stated, "With changes in dietary culture and increasing consumer demand, more establishments want standing tables. We will help businesses improve their operating environments so that residents can eat hygienically and safely."
