Former Big Bang member Seungri, who was sentenced to prison for habitual gambling and facilitating prostitution and was released early last year after serving his full term, is facing criticism from fans after a video showcasing his friendship with G-Dragon was revealed. Recently, videos featuring Seungri's remarks have been spreading on social media platforms such as X. The video is reported to have been filmed at an event in Cambodia.

In the video, Seungri boldly declares, "Someday, I will bring G-Dragon here." He also sings a hit song by Big Bang. The song Seungri sang was "Good Boy," a hit by Big Bang's unit GDX Taeyang.

However, netizens' reactions were cold. Sharp comments included, "He's not even a Big Bang member but trying to benefit from Big Bang," "Have they already forgotten about Burning Sun?" and "I thought he was living a life of self-reflection, but not at all."

The video also became a hot topic both domestically and internationally. On the 23rd (local time), the overseas K-pop media outlet Allkpop posted the related video and pointed out that "Korean netizens' reactions to (Seungri's) photos and videos are not positive."

Meanwhile, Seungri was released from Yeoju Prison on February 9 last year after serving his full sentence. Previously, he was identified as a key figure in the so-called "Burning Sun scandal" in 2019, and his conviction was confirmed by the Supreme Court in May 2022. Seungri was charged with habitual illegal gambling, facilitating prostitution, and illegal filming (violating the Act on the Punishment of Acts of Arranging Sexual Traffic). He also faced embezzlement charges under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes.

From December 2015 to January of the following year, Seungri is accused of repeatedly facilitating prostitution for investors overseas in Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong, and other countries to attract investment for clubs and financial investment businesses, and also personally purchasing sexual services.

He is also accused of embezzling approximately 528 million won from the club Burning Sun under the pretext of brand usage fees for the Gangnam bar "Monkey Museum," and diverting about 20 million won of company funds from Yuri Holdings for employee legal fees.

Additionally, from 2013 to 2017, Seungri gambled at hotels and casinos in Las Vegas, USA, spending about 2.2 billion won, and is charged with renting a house worth approximately 1 million dollars (about 1.3 billion won) with gambling funds without any declaration. All nine charges against Seungri were ruled guilty from the first trial through the third trial.
