In the report, the institute presented the top 10 future promising tourism technologies as follows: ▲ generative tourism AI technology for real-time information provision ▲ big data-based tourism digital curation technology ▲ advanced tourism mobility technology ▲ intelligent tourism mobility linkage services ▲ unmanned and robotics technology supporting tourism services ▲ innovative payment technology for efficient tourist transactions ▲ interactive technology expanding immersive tourist experiences ▲ intelligent operation platform technology for advanced tourism management ▲ digital innovation technology for collecting and analyzing tourism information ▲ precise tourism environment prediction and analysis technology for real-time tourist safety.

Generative tourism AI technology is expected to see increased use in the future, as it generates and provides customized information about tourism-related products and services in various forms based on large amounts of tourism data.

Additionally, big data-based tourism digital curation technology is expected to evolve into a deep learning and machine learning hybrid model used for itinerary recommendations and more.

Unmanned and robotics technology is projected to increase in hotels, airports, tourist sites, and other areas to address labor shortages in everyday and service sectors within tourism.

Interactive technology that enables immersive tourism experience content, intelligent operation platform technology for advanced tourism management, and precise tourism environment prediction and analysis technology to ensure tourist safety in real time are also expected to be utilized and further developed in the field.

Kim Sewon, president of the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, stated, "We hope that the results of this study will be used as important data to predict future societal changes in the tourism sector and to drive innovation and development in the tourism industry." He emphasized, "Since future promising tourism technologies are the driving force behind tourism innovation, continuous research and policy support in the tourism technology field are necessary to solve existing tourism problems and to expand the value chain areas for providing new types of tourism services."
