Now in its fourth year since its first implementation in 2021, this project aims to guarantee the qualitative right to rest for security and cleaning workers in multi-family housing who are placed in poor environments, in accordance with the 'Industrial Safety and Health Act' which mandates the installation of rest facilities at labor sites in multi-family housing.

By category, the 'Facility Improvement' sector supports the creation of break rooms, installation of sanitary facilities, and reapplication of wallpaper and flooring, while the 'Replacement/Purchase' sector supports the purchase and replacement costs of air conditioners, sofas, and water purifiers.

The support project targets 'mandatory management multi-family housing' under the 'Multi-family Housing Management Act.' Each complex can receive up to 10 million KRW in project funds, with 5 million KRW for security workers' break rooms and 5 million KRW for cleaning workers' break rooms.

Interested complexes can apply through the local subsidy system (Botaem e) by the 21st of next month. The city plans to select a total of 18 sites through the 'Icheon City Multi-family Housing Support Review Committee' to be held in March.

Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon City, stated, "We will continue to actively strive to improve rest conditions that satisfy all workers."
