Ulsan City Holds Welcome Ceremony for SK Innovation New Employee Transfers

Raise Pride in the Second Hometown

New employees hired at workplaces in Ulsan have become ‘Ulsan people.’ The new employees of Ulsan SK Innovation Complex have completely ‘moved’ to Ulsan.

On the 23rd at 2:30 PM, Ulsan City held a ‘Welcome Event for SK Innovation New Employees Moving to Ulsan’ in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the city hall main building.

The event was organized to raise pride in Ulsan among the new employees who moved in and to provide an opportunity for them to establish Ulsan as their second hometown.

The event was attended by Kim Doo-gyeom, Mayor of Ulsan, and about 40 new employees, and included welcome speeches, viewing of a city promotional video, and a tour of the promotional center. Afterwards, they also visited major local attractions such as the Ulsan Bridge Observatory and Daewangam Park.

Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom said, “Through this welcome event, I hope to increase understanding of city administration and foster pride in Ulsan so that it can become their second hometown,” adding, “I will focus administrative efforts on promoting more business-friendly policies for Ulsan, the city of dreams, working together with companies.”

An SK Innovation official said, “We deeply appreciate Ulsan City’s interest and consideration,” and added, “We will strive to contribute not only to the development of the local community and job creation but also to Ulsan City’s population policies and to driving the local economy forward.”

The SK Innovation new employees who participated in the welcome event joined the company at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, and among them, about 20 have moved to Ulsan so far. The remaining new employees will also move to Ulsan City after being assigned to their departments following this training.
