Hedwig is a musical that tells the autobiographical story of the rocker Hedwig, who wanders in search of the meaning of a life stained with wounds through music. John Cameron Mitchell wrote the script, and Stephen Trask composed and wrote the lyrics.

Hedwig first premiered in 1994 at a small rock club in Manhattan, New York. Amid enthusiastic responses from fans, it moved to Off-Broadway in 1998 and finally entered the Broadway Belasco Theatre in 2014. That same year, it swept four categories at the Tony Awards, including Best Revival, Best Leading Actor, Best Featured Actress, and Best Lighting.

In Korea, it premiered in 2005 at the 250-seat Daehangno Live Theater. It then moved to the 700-seat Hongik University Daehangno Art Center in 2016 and to the over 1,200-seat Chungmu Art Center Grand Theater in 2021.

Show Note stated that the fourteenth season will be held at the Charlotte Theater, widely regarded as the best musical theater in Korea, and that they will actively utilize various stage elements such as stage sets, video, and real-time broadcasting during the performance to present a more three-dimensional and rich show.
