'Trot Prodigy' Kim Yae-eun Donates Prize Money to Neighbors in Need

Trot prodigy Kim Yae-eun donated the prize money she won on the nationwide singing contest to neighbors in need of care.


According to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea on the 22nd, Kim donated 800,000 won, which she received as a popularity award on KBS Nationwide Singing Contest Gwangsan-gu episode.


The donation will be used as scholarships for underprivileged households in Gwangsan-gu.


'Trot Prodigy' Kim Yae-eun Donates Prize Money to Neighbors in Need

Kim said, "I was able to continue singing because there are people who listen to and support my songs," and added, "I want to become a singer who gives strength and comfort to someone."


Starting Pansori at the age of 7, Kim has recently expanded her genre to trot and has been spreading positive influence by continuously donating the prize money she won at Pansori festivals and song contests.
