President Praised 'Chungju City PR Man' Kim Seontae Officer's Lecture in Dobong-gu

Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) Hakmaeul Library is celebrating its 15th anniversary by hosting a two-week commemorative event titled "Dreaming of the Future with Hakmaeul Library" until January 31.

This event is designed to look back on the past 15 years of Hakmaeul Library and celebrate a new beginning together with the residents.

The program includes a commemorative ceremony, performances, special lectures by notable figures, children's cultural and experiential programs, exhibitions, and events that all generations can enjoy together.

On the 23rd, Kim Seon-tae, known as the "Promoter of Chungju City," will give a lecture on the theme "Chungju City SNS Stories." On the 21st, there was a lecture by author Song Gil-young, who wrote "Era Forecast: The Age of the Nuclear Individual," offering residents insights into the future.

The commemorative ceremony will be held on January 27 at 2 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Creative Sharing Space on the 3rd floor of Hakmaeul Library. The event will include the unveiling of the 15th-anniversary plaque and a "Classical Music Concert with Commentary" for families to enjoy.

Additionally, various events such as children's TRPG (Tabletop Role Playing Game), push-pop cake making, age-specific children's experiential programs, a "Damaged Book Exhibition" linked with the book repair club, a "Stamp Tour" children's event, and a "15th Anniversary Best Loaned Books Exhibition" will welcome residents throughout Hakmaeul Library.

Program registration is available on the Dobong-gu Integrated Library website, and for more details, inquiries can be made to Hakmaeul Library.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, "We will do our best to transform the local public library from a simple space for providing information and knowledge into a complex cultural space where residents can communicate and interact."

Hakmaeul Library, opened in 2009 under the slogan "A Library for Everyone," has been operating various reading culture programs every year to ensure accessibility for all residents and has played a role in bridging the information gap for knowledge and information-vulnerable groups within the community.
