Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, responded to media reports that the Presidential Office demanded his resignation by stating, "I will do what I have to do on the path I have taken for the people."

On the 21st, Chairman Han made this statement through a press release text from the People Power Party. The party said, "This is Chairman Han's position regarding today's reports about the Presidential Office's demand for resignation."

Earlier, Channel A reported that mainstream figures within the ruling party recently demanded Chairman Han's resignation due to controversies surrounding candidate nominations. It was also said that the Presidential Office's intentions were reflected in this, sparking controversy.

Chairman Han issued his statement less than an hour after the report was released.
