Lee Su-jin, a proportional representative member of the Democratic Party of Korea, has withdrawn her intention to run in the Seoul Seodaemun-gu Gap district in the upcoming April general election.

On the afternoon of the 21st, Lee held a press conference at the National Assembly Communication Office and stated, "I have decided to give up my intention to run in Seodaemun-gu Gap in this parliamentary election."

She added, "I judged that I should accept the Central Party's decision to designate Seodaemun-gu Gap as a strategic electoral district with a spirit of putting the party's interests first," and said, "I will join the path of great transformation for victory in this general election under the proud name of the Democratic Party."

This area is the constituency of Woo Sang-ho, a four-term lawmaker. With Woo announcing he will not run, the party has designated this district as a strategic electoral district.

Lee, considered part of the pro-Myeong (pro-Lee Jae-myung) faction, is reportedly planning to run in Seongnam Jungwon, Gyeonggi Province, the constituency of Yoon Young-chan, a member of the anti-Myeong (anti-Lee Jae-myung) faction.
