Support declarations are continuing for Oh Kyung-hoon, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for the Gwangju Metropolitan City Dong-gu Nam-gu Gap district in the general election.
On the 19th, preliminary candidate Oh Kyung-hoon held a meeting with the Gwangju Metropolitan City Youth Committee and the executive members of each district youth committee, as well as a ceremony to deliver Gwangju youth policies and pledges.
The event was attended by about 10 people, including Park Hye-sung, Chairman of the Nam-gu Youth Committee, Koo Moon-jung, Director of the Gwangju Youth Center, chairpersons of youth committees from each district, and representatives of youth-related organizations.
Park Hye-sung, Chairman of the Nam-gu Youth Committee, delivered the Gwangju youth policies and pledges to candidate Oh, saying, "The youth organizations gathered here today have chosen preliminary candidate Oh Kyung-hoon as a partner who can jointly consider youth issues and find solutions," and added, "Please make efforts to realize the delivered policies and pledges."
In response, candidate Oh promised, "I will strive for the right of local youth to settle stably in the region," and pledged to establish a youth division within the support committee, hold youth policy forums more than twice a year, and propose and promote budget allocation for overseas training for local youth committee members.
On the same day, the heads of three branches in Nam-gu of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Living Environment Labor Union, composed of environmental workers who collect and transport household waste, visited Oh Kyung-hoon's election office to declare their support.
Candidate Oh said, "Environmental workers belonging to the Living Environment Labor Union do their best even under harsh working conditions so that residents can live in a pleasant and clean environment," and added, "I will work to improve the treatment of environmental workers."
