KCCI and Hankyung Association Recruit Economic Delegations to Germany and Denmark

Attention on Whether Business Leaders Lee Jae-yong and Choi Tae-won Will Attend Together

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Korea Economic Association (KEA) are organizing an economic delegation to be dispatched to Germany and Denmark next month.

According to the business community on the 21st, KCCI and KEA recently sent official letters to their member companies, announcing that applications to participate in the economic delegation will be accepted until the 25th. The dispatch aims to support Korean companies' entry into the German and Danish markets and to strengthen private economic cooperation.

Priority will be given to companies expected to achieve clear business outcomes with German and Danish counterparts, such as those planning to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), or those involved in projects and industries prioritized by both countries.

The economic delegation will visit Berlin, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark, from the 19th to the 22nd of next month. Through economic events such as business forums, participating companies will explore business opportunities and establish cooperative relationships with local firms.

Germany has strengths in the automotive and automotive electrical/electronic equipment sectors, while Denmark excels in artificial intelligence (AI) and biotechnology, so cooperation between the two countries is expected to focus on these areas.

Attention is also focused on whether business leaders, including Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, and Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group and KCCI, will accompany the delegation.
