On the morning of the 21st, a fire broke out in a 15-story apartment building in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, injuring 2 people and causing 45 residents to evacuate.
According to the fire authorities, a report was received around 11:09 a.m. that a fire had started on the 9th floor of a 15-story apartment building in Gayang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
As a result of the fire, one man suffered burns on his upper body and was transported to a hospital, and another man inhaled smoke. It is reported that 45 residents evacuated on their own.
The fire authorities deployed 90 personnel and 27 pieces of equipment and completely extinguished the fire around 12:36 p.m., about 1 hour and 30 minutes after the fire started.
The fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
