Comprehensive Safety Measures and Protection Zone Policies for Children's School Routes, Easily Accessible
Check Key Policies, Protection Zone Designations, and Related Regulations
Fulfilling Citizens' Right to Know, Providing Opportunities
Busan City will revamp and operate its official website from the 22nd to allow citizens to easily check the comprehensive safety measures for children's school routes and policies on child protection zones.
This website revamp was carried out in accordance with the detailed implementation plan of the "Comprehensive Safety Measures for Children's School Routes" announced in October last year.
In particular, following the school zone accident near Cheongdong Elementary School last year, public interest in school zone safety increased, and in response to demands from parents, civic groups, and other citizens for information disclosure, the city actively prepared for two-way communication to guarantee citizens' right to know and opportunities for policy participation.
With this revamp, citizens can check various information on the city website, including ▲major policy guidance on the comprehensive safety measures for children's school routes promoted by the city, ▲status of designated protection zones, ▲related laws and regulations, and ▲policy news.
This information can be found under the Transportation & Logistics menu in the city website's categorized information sections.
Especially, policy plans for facility improvements such as protective fences, sidewalks, and unmanned illegal parking enforcement cameras, which citizens can directly experience, are provided through a location-based policy map, allowing easy access with just one click.
Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “With this website revamp, active information sharing on issues of public interest will be possible, which is expected to enhance public consensus and administrative credibility.” He added, “We will continue to expand the policy communication platform to satisfy citizens' right to know about social issues and provide opportunities for policy participation.”
