Publication of the '2024 Songpa-gu Job Guidebook'

Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) has published the "2024 Songpa-gu Job Guidebook," which allows residents to check the latest job information at a glance to welcome the new year.

The district has been producing the "Job Guidebook" every year since 2018 for residents who are eager to find jobs but face difficulties due to a lack of related information. The guidebook comprehensively covers all information related to job searching, from employment information and job support services to various training programs and business support.

At the beginning of the book, a job map indicating 20 job support facilities within the region by area is provided, followed by easy-to-understand infographics presenting statistical data on approximately 70,000 businesses in the area, allowing readers to grasp local economic trends at a glance.

In particular, recruitment information, which is crucial for job seekers, is given the greatest emphasis. The guidebook meticulously lists recruitment schedules for over 4,000 direct job openings across six fields, including public work programs.

Additionally, various employment services provided by the district, such as job matching, are introduced by target groups including youth, women, and seniors, enabling quick access to necessary information.

Useful education, coaching, and training programs that can enhance individual capabilities before employment are also introduced. Along with various job support programs to develop job-seeking skills such as AI interviews and mentoring, the guidebook provides information on vocational competency development training that offers systematic practical education in areas like the 4th Industrial Revolution, supporting employment in higher-quality jobs.

The guidebook also includes information not only for individual job seekers but also for prospective entrepreneurs and local businesses. It thoroughly covers various support systems that small businesses in the region are curious about, such as ▲startup support ▲social economy revitalization ▲and small and medium enterprise support.

Such a comprehensive collection of quality employment information, the "2024 Songpa-gu Job Guidebook," is available for free viewing at 20 job support facilities within the region and nearby community service centers, and can also be easily accessed online through the district’s official website.

Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, "This book was created to provide practical help to residents hoping to find employment amid difficult times and an expected employment downturn in the job market. We will strive even harder to create a city where anyone with the will to work can feel the reward of hard work, making Songpa a happy and prosperous place."
