Dongdaemun-gu Holds Donation Ceremony for Supplies to Energy-Vulnerable Groups

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced on the morning of the 19th that a donation ceremony for cold-weather supplies worth 10 million won for households with disabled individuals vulnerable to the cold was held at the Dongdaemun-gu Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center.


The donated supplies were provided through 'Seoul Energy Plus' (formerly Seoul Energy Welfare Citizen Fund) by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Social Welfare Council. The supplies, worth about 100,000 won per household, included heating insulation materials and electric heating mats. The district plans to support 100 households with disabled individuals living at home in welfare blind spots through cooperation with the Dongdaemun-gu Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center.


The ceremony was attended by Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, Hwang Ju-yeon, Director of the Dongdaemun-gu Disabled Comprehensive Welfare Center, and Kim Hyun-hoon, Chairman of the Seoul Social Welfare Council.


Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “We are grateful to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul Energy Plus, and others for their warm-hearted support in providing supplies for energy-vulnerable households. We will promptly deliver the supplies so that households with disabled individuals can get through the rest of the winter comfortably.”
