Youth Headquarters 'Dolpung' Launch Ceremony
Youth gathered at the election office of Yang Bu-nam, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for the Seo-gu (Eul) electoral district in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
The inauguration ceremony of the youth headquarters "Dolpung," led by about 100 local youths, was held on the 18th at Yang's preliminary candidate election camp.
Candidate Yang promised, "It is truly heartbreaking that young people are leaving Gwangju due to lack of jobs. Adults must reflect on the reality of insufficient youth employment in Gwangju, and youth-related policies are absolutely necessary." He added, "I will actively collect the diverse opinions and ideas of the youths attending this event and ensure they are reflected in policies."
He continued, "I will do my best to create a greater Gwangju where youths want to live, not a Gwangju that youths leave, a Gwangju with the dreams and future of young people."
Youths, including Na Seong-ju, director of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Swimming Federation, who was elected as the head of the headquarters that day, pledged in a resolution, "The people can no longer find hope under the Yoon Seok-yeol administration," and "To oppose the Yoon Seok-yeol Prosecutorial Republic, we will protect Representative Lee Jae-myung and work together with Yang Bu-nam, chairman of the legal committee and Lee Jae-myung's bodyguard, who is the right person to lay the foundation for the Democratic Party's reestablishment, to achieve a sweeping victory for the Democratic Party in the general election."
Additionally, the Dolpung Youth Headquarters resolved to ▲declare support from 1,000 local youths ▲develop and propose youth policies ▲form a clean election promotion team.
