On the 16th, attendees of the '2023 2nd Semester Career Development Center Performance Presentation and Awards Ceremony' held at Kyungdong Hall, Seunghak Campus, Dong-A University, are taking a commemorative photo.
The awards ceremony was organized to encourage students who participated in programs such as ‘Career Peer Mentoring’ and ‘Career Clubs’ over the past three months and to share the overall achievements of the Career Development Center.
The ceremony, recently held at Gyeongdong Hall in the College of Humanities on Dong-A University’s Seunghak Campus, was attended by Director Jo Gyu-pan, Professor Bang Hee-won, and award-winning students.
The Career Peer Mentoring program aimed to help students develop communication skills and solve career-related issues through counseling activities, thereby strengthening their individual career competencies and broadening their perspectives on careers. Sixteen ‘Leaders (career mentors)’ and seventeen ‘Daum (career mentees)’ completed the program.
At the ceremony, the ‘Excellent Career Portfolio Award’ in Career Peer Mentoring was awarded to students Jang Seo-jeong (Department of Medical Ethics in Philosophy), Kwon Bo-a (Department of Medical Ethics in Philosophy), Lee Jun-chan (Department of Mechanical Engineering), and Kim Yoon-seo (Department of Biomedical Engineering). Yoo Jin (senior, Department of Education), representative career mentor, said, “One of the benefits of Career Peer Mentoring is the mutual positive influence it fosters. Through participating in this program, both mentors and mentees were able to build self-efficacy through collaboration. I gained energy from seeing the mentees grow and felt the value of giving and a sense of accomplishment through mentoring.”
The Career Club program operated with the purpose of forming teams to organize individual career activities and achieve desired career goals. This semester, a total of 29 teams with 131 members completed the program, and at the ceremony, nine teams with 42 members were awarded in the fields of career exploration and career planning.
The Grand Prize was awarded to the team ‘Passion Itself’ (team leader Kim Young-ok, Department of Education). The Excellence Awards went to two teams: ‘Power Rangers’ (team leader Lee Yoo-sung, Department of Electrical Engineering) and ‘Accounting Star’ (team leader Min Seon-hwa, Department of Business Administration).

Although there were difficulties, we overcame them safely because we were together as a team, and I am proud that the five of us were able to grow together.”
